How do I convert a FLAC file to MIDI with AI?

Make sure your FLAC file contains a clear enough recording, with distinct elements even if several instruments are playing. Does a lossless FLAC always produce better MIDI?

FLAC preserves the audio signal very well, which can help the AI analysis, but accuracy depends mostly on how clearly the music can be heard. A clean recording with little distortion, a steady volume and well-separated instruments generally produces more consistent MIDI, although a good format can’t make up for a muddy mix.

Can I get a multitrack MIDI from a FLAC with several instruments?

Yes, as long as the different parts of the mix can be clearly distinguished. For this, use the multi-instrument app BandConvert. What if my FLAC file comes from a live recording?
