SingConvert is a solution that converts audio into vocal sheet music, allowing you to find a sung melody and work on a piece more easily. It is useful for rehearsing, creating harmony, learning a main line, or preparing a performance. Exports in PDF, MIDI, and MusicXML formats allow you to read, edit, or produce the vocal line in your tools.

Transcription aims to reproduce the vocal line actually sung in the recording, which assumes that a voice is clearly present in the audio and sufficiently audible to be distinguished from the instruments; if the voice is absent, too muffled, or heavily masked by the mix, it is not possible to obtain a reliable vocal transcription. Arrangement, on the other hand, does not consist of “extracting” an existing voice at all costs: it proposes an adaptation of the song for singing by reproducing the main melody and coherent musical cues as best as possible, in order to obtain a more readable and easier to sing line, even when the original is heavily produced or when the voice cannot be clearly isolated.

Import an audio/video file or paste a YouTube link, then choose Transcription or Arrangement. Transcription is recommended when the goal is to reproduce an existing vocal performance as closely as possible (notes, rhythm, intentions), for example to reproduce a specific interpretation, work on a passage, or analyze a melody as it is sung. Arrangement is preferable when the goal is to obtain a clearer and more “singable” version for effective rehearsal, preparing a cover, or working on a melody on a track where the production is dense, the voice is heavily processed, or the line is difficult to follow by ear.

SingConvert can be applied to many songs, but there is one essential condition for transcription: the voice must be clearly present and audible in the audio, as a voice that is too muffled, too reverberant, or mixed in with harmonies and backing vocals can significantly reduce fidelity. The best results come from clean sources, with the voice prominent in the mix and the recording in good condition. In arrangement, the presence of a perfectly isolatable voice is less of an obstacle, as the app primarily seeks to adapt the music for singing by picking up the main melody and a coherent structure, which makes the arrangement more robust on highly produced, multi-instrumental songs, or when the goal is to quickly obtain a usable vocal line for learning and rehearsal.

On average, allow about two minutes for a song of average complexity, with variations depending on the length and complexity of the vocals.

You get a score with essential markers such as tempo and measures. In transcription, the line follows the performance as closely as possible. In arrangement, the vocal line is more structured and designed for reading, which helps with singing and rehearsing effectively.
