SingConvert – Vocal Score App: Convert Vocals to PDF, MIDI & MusicXML

SingConvert is an app that turns audio into vocal sheet music, so you can recover a sung melody and work on a song more easily. It’s useful for rehearsing, building a harmony, learning a lead line, or preparing a performance. PDF, MIDI, and MusicXML exports then let you read, edit, or produce the vocal line in your own tools.

Transcription aims to reproduce the vocal line actually sung in the recording, which means a voice must be clearly present in the audio and audible enough to be distinguished from the instruments; if the voice is absent, buried, or heavily masked by the mix, a reliable vocal transcription is not possible. Arrangement, on the other hand, is not about “extracting” an existing voice at all costs: it offers an adaptation of the song for voice, following the main melody and consistent musical cues as closely as possible, to give you a line that is easier to read and sing, even when the original is heavily produced or the voice cannot be clearly isolated.

Upload an audio/video file or paste a YouTube link, then choose Transcription or Arrangement. SingConvert analyzes the track, identifies the vocal line when it is clear enough, and generates an exportable vocal score. Then download your files and use them as is or refine them in an editor.

Transcription is recommended when the goal is to reproduce an existing vocal performance as closely as possible (notes, rhythm, expression), for example to replicate a specific interpretation, work on a passage, or analyze a melody as it is sung. Arrangement is preferable when the goal is a clearer, more “singable” version to rehearse effectively, prepare a cover, or work on a melody in a track where the production is dense, the voice heavily processed, or the line hard to follow by ear.

SingConvert works with many songs, but for transcription one condition is essential: the voice must be genuinely present and clearly audible in the audio, as a voice that is too masked, too reverberant, or blended with harmonies and double-tracked vocals can greatly reduce accuracy. The best results come from clean sources, with the voice well forward in the mix and a recording in good condition. In arrangement mode, a perfectly isolatable voice matters less, because the app primarily adapts the music for voice by following the main melody and a coherent structure, which makes arrangement more robust on heavily produced, multi-instrument songs, or when the goal is to quickly get a usable vocal line for learning and rehearsal.

On average, allow about two minutes for a song of average complexity, with variations depending on the length and complexity of the vocals.

You get sheet music with essential markings such as tempo and measures. In transcription mode, the line follows the performance as closely as possible. In arrangement mode, the vocal line is more structured and designed for reading, which helps you sing and rehearse effectively.
