Transcription is recommended when the recording features a clearly identifiable violin (theme, solo, counter-melody) and the goal is to reproduce the line as it is played, with its rhythm and details. Arrangement is preferable when the goal is to play a piece on the violin that does not contain one, or when the music is very dense and the violin is drowned out, as it provides a clearer version that can be used directly for practice, learning, and rehearsal.

ViolinConvert can work on a wide variety of tracks, but there is one strict condition for transcription: a violin must actually be present and clearly audible in the audio, otherwise the app cannot reproduce a reliable violin part. The best results come from clean sources where the violin stands out clearly, with little masking and decent recording quality. When arranging, the presence of a violin in the original is not essential, as the app adapts the music for violin by reproducing the main melody and a coherent structure as best as possible, which allows many vocal or multi-instrumental pieces to be converted. The final quality is still influenced by the clarity of the melody and the audio quality, but the arrangement is generally more robust when the song is loaded or highly produced.
