Song of Storms on piano: finding your way around the keyboard
Before we start playing the notes of Song of Storms on the piano, we will first go over some basics and learn to recognize the keys on a piano keyboard.
Take a look at the image below:
The names of the notes on a piano keyboard.
The image above shows the notes that are associated with each key on a piano keyboard.
We notice that the piano keys work in a repetitive way. Looking at the black keys, we see that they work in groups of two and groups of three. It is thanks to them that we can locate ourselves on the keyboard.
For example, if we are looking for the note G, we must first identify a group of three black keys. Once this is done, we must identify the white key that is between the first and second black keys in this group of three. Our G note corresponds to this white key.
Practice identifying notes on a piano keyboard quickly and easily so that you feel comfortable with the concept. This will greatly help you learn Song of Storms quickly in this piano tutorial.
