Disassociating your hands on the piano is one of the most complex exercises when you are a beginner on the instrument. Indeed, our brain is not used to synchronize such precise gestures with both hands at the same time. It therefore requires practice.
In order to get used to this exercise more quickly, we recommend that when you start learning a new piece, you proceed in mini-sequences of a few seconds. First learn the right hand notes alone, then the left hand notes and finally both at the same time. When you can play a short sequence of a few seconds with both hands, move on to the next sequence and repeat this teaching process. You should learn the new sequences faster and faster as your brain gets used to this way of learning.
This method allows you to assimilate information progressively in order to learn notes and chords faster.
