Synthesia has a really great learning process for beginners. You can practice your song note by note, and once you are confident enough, you can play them all together! You can even decide to use your left hand, your right hand, or even both! The piano notes are very large and easy to use. They don’t use notes, but numbers. This makes memorization easier. You can pause any song! You can even log into Apple Music and learn to play your favorite songs! There are also harder and easier versions of some songs!

Full piano sound, fully adjustable for purpose and ability, with responsibility scores and songs included to learn at your own pace or download .mid songs from the internet, and much more…very useful app.

When I try to play a song, I try to hit the note when it was close to the piano, but however, it was wrong anyway! I thought this game was broken, but I noticed that EVERY song was really hard for me, and I don’t understand the purpose of this app. Despite the fact that the app was very disappointing, it was still fun and great. I love the sound of the instruments, and the colors are great! However, I noticed that I received the demo version, and that’s what made me mad. If I had to rate this app, I would give it a 0.5/10, because of the bad features it offers!

Clumsy application, most of the music is not complete or missing notes, the list of songs is limited. For the price of the app, I expected better. It would be nice if the music learner could use the tablet’s speaker for note recognition. If you try to use it with a midi keyboard, you’ll need a special cable for midi to the tablet or phone, and a piano transposed to the correct key.

I have been using Yousician since late April thanks to a lot of extra time at home. Over the past 6-7 months, I have seen a huge progression in my ability to play the piano. Gamifying the learning process has kept me engaged and coming back more and more to try and improve. There is a nice, comfortable pace to learning and if it’s too easy for you, it gives you the option to try out more difficult lessons. I really like this app and would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn an instrument. One BIG thing I wish the app offered to make learning even easier is the ability to see the entire song, whether it’s tabs or sheet music, which would make memorizing and practicing the parts of a song much easier. As it is, I have to pause and transcribe the tablature into a notebook to see the whole thing.

First of all, I really like this application. I love learning with it, and I spend at least an hour a day on it. I don’t know if I’ve really progressed, but I’m certainly having fun. And recently, I managed to play the intro to “Nothing else matters” without any mistakes! However, there are a few things missing in the app for me: – impossible to get the score of the song; – marks (early etc.) are barely visible on fast songs – maybe make them colored? – training settings are not saved, etc.

I’ve been taking piano lessons since I was six years old, and now I’m seventeen, and I’ve improved a lot. I can now play songs without even needing help. As a seventeen year old girl, I wanted to find an app to improve my skills without having to pay money. When I press the “experienced” button at the beginning of the app, I am always sent back to easy things I already know how to do! Please make the experienced button take you to difficult lessons that can teach you different things than PIANO NOTES! My second complaint is that it only lets you learn for TEN MINUTES a day?! If you do it for an hour, I would be happy, because I usually practice piano for an hour and a half a day. But, TEN minutes?! That’s not nearly enough time for someone to learn SOMETHING without buying your premium! I deleted the app recently because it didn’t help me at all! If you are a professional piano player and don’t want to spend money on a music app, don’t download this app, it won’t help you at all.

A decent app but it tells me I’m hitting the wrong notes, I use an electric keyboard so it’s not exactly out of tune. There’s no way to calibrate the app or anything, so I’m constantly hitting the wrong notes, even though I’m hitting the notes it tells me to. It’s really discouraging to try to learn like this, so I’m going back to YouTube until there’s an update or something.
